Who knew your holiday trees could make life a little better for fish? The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources is working closely with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to collect Christmas trees at county landfills and provide them for fish habitat. The county landfill department is always looking for innovative ways to divert waste and preserve valuable landfill space.
More than $9 million in transportation grant funds have been designated for improvements that will help make Gilman Springs Road, Reche Canyon Road, Reche Vista Drive and La Sierra Ave. safer for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.
The Riverside County Registrar of Voters office certified the results of the Nov. 8 consolidated general election on Tuesday (12/6) and forwarded the certified results to the Board of Supervisors.
